validated by research. We closely adhere to the ethical frameworks laid out by the American Psychological Association and our privacy policies are in alignment with Indian law. Roobaroo Therapy’s mission is to create awareness and sensitivity about mental-health concerns and to reduce stigma around it, which it aims to achieve through the content on its Instagram account – @roobarootherapy.
Roobaroo is an Urdu word, meaning ‘in contact with’. Being mentally connected is an essential part of therapy sessions. It allows clients to feel heard and understood, enabling them to safely share their thoughts and feelings. While it allows the therapist to provide an empathetic space to the clients.
The reason why I chose a word from Urdu language is because I find the language to be enveloped with compassion, which is a core characteristic of therapy. I also wanted the name to be meaningful, just like my work is to me.

I charge Rs.1200 for a 60 minutes session.
